Haunted Cookstown Ghost Walk

Some of Cookstown’s stories are best told after dark.

Join the Cookstown & District Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The South Simcoe Theatre for an in-person ghost walk through downtown Cookstown. Follow a theatrical guide through the village streets for an evening of eerie encounters, local history and tales that might make you look over your shoulder.

Inspired by Haunted Cookstown by Amy Woodcock and Catherine Crow, this walk is for curious skeptics and ghost-story believers alike. Gather your favourite people, dress for an October evening and come discover Cookstown’s spooky side!

Saturday, October 24, 2026
Starts: 6:30 p.m. at the Cookstown Curling Club, 18 Church Street
Ends: Approximately 8:00p.m. at the South Simcoe Theatre
Walk length: Approximately 1–1½ hours
