We are excited to announce our newest initiative:
The Fairy Trail
The event is designed to get our local community and businesses to do something fun that will also help promote shopping local. Participants are encouraged to create Fairy Homes which will then be placed in their gardens or storefronts. For those participating, a map will be created for our community to stroll around and take a look at the different Fairy Homes along the trail. Each Fairy home will also be judge by members of our communities. The event will take place at the beginning of June. Participants in the event will have a chance to enter into a draw to win.
Add Your Creation To The Cookstown Fairy Trail
• You will need to register your Fairy House to qualify for prizes. Entry Fee is $5 and the application can be found below.
• You can make your house as elaborate or as simple as you’d like the point is to have fun with it!
• Houses must be registered by June 11.
• Fairy Houses can be assembled in front yards in town, in business windows or Chamber Office property. If you do not have a place to set up your Fairy House, a Chamber member can "foster" a fairy house and place it in a safe spot for viewing. Please note this in your application if you need assistance finding a location.
• Map of locations for browsing will be published as Fairy Houses are submitted.
• Maker is responsible for maintenance on their Fairy House, including taking it down after the contest is over.
